Microsoft customers choose Software Translator

Many of Microsoft's most widely used applications, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, have been translated into a range of European and Asian languages. The reasons for this are self-evident. There are significant financial benefits involved in responding to market demand for translated software.

Software users in multinational companies which have offices in a number of countries often find themselves in a difficult

The user simply clicks on a flag and the English-language application is translated into the language of the user's choice.

situation when the company chooses English as its corporate language and installs English software as standard. This means that the company's IT department only needs to buy one piece of software once from one supplier, which, from a purely administrative point of view, results in cost savings and increased efficiency. However, the problem which is often overlooked or which no one knows how to resolve is the users' lack of understanding of how the applications work and of the best way of using them. This means that users are working less efficiently and the company is therefore incurring additional costs. Many European multinationals are now choosing to buy and install English-language versions of, for example, Microsoft Office applications, and then let their users run Software Translator and choose the language they want their applications to be displayed in.

3D CAD application translated into Italian in 4 (!) days
IronCAD, developed in the US, and its 3D CAD application have now been translated into Swedish and Italian.
As part of the process of translating IronCAD into Swedish, an Excel file was created containing all the English terms in the application.

The terminology was sent to Italy for translation on 3rd March this year. Four days later on the 7th March the Italian translation was finished!

Small changes were made to some of the terms chosen. This took two days and then the Italian version of IronCAD was ready to ship to Italian customers.

From English to Italian in four (4) days

Further language versions of IronCAD will be available soon. The US company IronCAD is now recommending Software Translator to its customers.
